Rainy day in CarmelPosted: December 20th, 2010
It’s a few days before Christmas and we are having a wonderful rain storm. Last night was one of the biggest thunderstorms we have had in a long time. The waves are big at the lagoon beach and the tractor is trying to keep the river mouth open and flowing to the ocean. Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home. I must get one that lives in my car.

50 Print PortfolioPosted: December 19th, 2010
Kim has been in the process of making “50 Print Portfolios”. This one is called “Gina”. He has gone back in to his archives and printed photographs that have not been printed before. They are all 11×14, single unmounted photographs, signed and housed in a portfolio box. Truly an amazing collection!

Edward Weston 15S ShellPosted: December 15th, 2010
While Edward Weston lived at Wildcat Hill, he frequently went to the Point Lobos State Park, located about 1 1/2 miles from our home. During this time period he photographed close up series of vegetables and shells. He borrowed the shells from a local painter, Henrietta Shore.
Carmel River LagoonPosted: December 15th, 2010
December is a beautiful time at the Carmel River Beach. Every morning Kim and I take a walk there. This ritual began when I was just a child, I used to get up very early in the morning with my mother and walk Carmel Beach. When our son Zach first starting taking the bus to school we decided that we would start walking since we were up and ready to go. The amazing thing about the beach is that it is always different. Always new and always changing. It’s so …Read more

Kim Weston – Constantly on the MovePosted: December 15th, 2010
Kim is constantly working. As we are getting ready to launch our website, we have found Cole Weston posters, Surf & Headlands that we want to put up for sale. This image of Cole’s (Kim’s father) was probably one of his most popular. It was taken just a few miles south of here.

MemoriesPosted: December 15th, 2010
I am finally starting to understand how this word press site works. At times it has been hard to get my head around the working mechanics of it. It is much different from the laborious updating of every page I need to change. One fun thing I am experiencing is going back into our past events and seeing where we have been. Here we are at Paul Caponigro’s home in Maine in 2003.
