Happy Holidays!
We hope this final Newsletter of 2006 finds you all enjoying the
holiday cheer. What a great time to take a minute to look back
over what a great year it has been. We visited with many new
friends, inviting them in to see our home and Edward Weston's
darkroom. Spent time with old friends that we have made along our
way. We shared a lot of art, with a lot of people, which we would
like to think that's what its all about anyway.
Thank you for taking time out of your life to spend with us.

2007
Workshop Schedule
After a successful 2006 workshop year, the 2007 workshop schedule
has been posted. On the schedule is our traditional Studio Nude I
& II Workshops, 2 Platinum Workshops with guest teachers Ryuijie
and Randy Efros, our all time favorite Large Format Workshop
(let's keep this format alive!) The Scotland Workshop 2007 and we
have invited a new and exciting teacher Mac Holbert from Nash
Editions, Los Angeles Ca. He will be bringing his breadth of
knowledge about making digital negatives for platinum printing to
Wildcat Hill! Come and learn from one of the best in the field.
Then once you made your negatives, learn how to print them in
platinum. Don't know if you have ever been to one of our Platinum
Classes but you go home with lots of prints! It is great fun!
Classes are kept small, early registration is recommended.
Unfortunately we had to cancel our December Oaxaca II workshop and
the Edward & Kim Weston Exhibition. No one was more disappointed
than Kim and I. The civil unrest in the town was too risky to take
a group. Will keep everyone posted on the rescheduling of the
Exhibition. Apologies to all that were signed up. Thanks for
sticking by us!
Check out the new 2007 schedule and sign up for a class!
Website Update
Guests at
Wildcat
I have been updating the website with information from the old
site. I have finished the Guest pages. Take a minute to browse
through the 8 pages of guests that have visited us here at
Wildcat.
I am currently working on the workshop photos and have completed
2000 - 2002, that was a huge feat. Some of the links to our site
have been broken and I am sorry for that. Let me know what you
think.
Lenswork and Carmel Magazines, PK Fine Artifacts Gallery
Be sure to pick up the recent Carmel Magazine and look in the
Gallery section for a nice article on Kim by Meredith Mullins.
Brooks Jensen editor of Lenswork Magazine will be featuring Kim's
Ballerina Series in his next January Issue! Can't wait to see it.
Make sure to pick one up.
Our show at the PK Fine Artifacts Gallery in Sand City Ca was a
huge success. Thanks to Patty Kramer of PK's, Joseph and Betty
Kovacs of Szalay Winery, Sweet Elena's Bakery, The Culinary School
of Cooking and most of all you that attended and purchased
Kim and Reed Farrington's Painted Photographs. Thank you for
coming!!!!
Patrick Jablonski is currently having a show at the Highlands Inn
Gallery, Carmel CA. It is literally right next door to us. It is a
solo show and he is very excited about it. Don't miss it!
Thanks to all for your support and to all the new and old
subscribers!
It has been a wonderful and memorable 2006.
Thanks to all of our dear friends, especially Huntington Witherill
and Ryuijie that have faithfully brought their photographs to
share at our workshop dinners, to Tracy Morrison for always
bringing warm smiles and dessert. Special thanks to Randy Efros,
Martin Reekie and Melissa Chiaro of Essence of Mexico. We are
truly blessed to live in this community and we hope to see or meet
you sometime next year.
Blessings Gina, Kim and Zach
