Weston Photography Newsletter - September

September 2006

Greetings!

Kim Weston and Reed Farrington;
Painted Photographs: A Collaboration
Don't Forget the opening Saturday September 23, 2006 2-5pm at the Blackstone Gallery 850 South Alta St. Gonzales CA 831-675-5341

It is half way through September and I am just getting around to sending out the newsletter. How time flies by. I am been working on the new site design and have already made several hundred pages. It takes a lot of time and thought to make a web site easy to navigate. I am excited with the new design, knowing it will free me up to do many of the other projects that Kim and I have planned. So stay tuned...

In the footsteps of Edward Weston
David Fink owner of Bouchee Restaurant and L’Auberge Carmel, is the host of “In the Footsteps of Edward Weston,” a photography seminar in Carmel- by-the Sea, CA hosted by Edward Weston’s grandson Kim Weston. The three-day event November 10-12 will include, exhibits, hands-on photo sessions, a printing demonstration at Edward Weston’s Wildcat Hill studio and a series of dinners, lunches and exhibits.
L'Auberge Carmel features 20 luxuriously appointed guest rooms in a three story building. The Inn’s European style architecture focuses around a classic brick courtyard and upper floor rooms offer a peek of Carmel Bay. 2006 Web Site Updates
Kim has some beautiful new images that are not up on our site yet. I also have not posted any of the 2006 workshop pictures either. I just didn't want to do it twice. So stay tuned because they will be on the newly designed site soon! I already most of the Kim Weston Galleries completed; New Work, Silver Gelatin and Special Edition. I have Platinum and Vintage to go and then the whole rest of the site, Workshops, History, Guests, Wildcat Hill, and then of course Edward, Brett and Cole Weston. It will be great once it is finished and you will be seeing many new silver prints and special edition prints.

Thank you for all of your support by purchasing our photographs, coming for workshops, tutorials and for bringing your groups by to visit!
Thanks to all of you new subscribers! It has been a great year so far!

Sincerely Gina, Kim and Zach
