Greetings!
The first thing that Kim and I want to do is send our
thoughts and prayers to everyone who lives in Southern California
where the wildfires are burning out of control. It saddens us to
know so many of you are suffering due to this disaster. If there
is anything we can do please let us know. Blessings to all.
We will be in Oaxaca Mexico from Oct.29 - Nov. 5 to celebrate the
opening of The
Edward Weston / Kim Weston Photographs / Photograficos Exhibition
on Nov. 1, 2007 at The Manuel Alvarez Bravo Photography Center -
Center of Oaxaca, Mexico. We are looking forward to seeing all of
you that are joining us in Mexico for a wonderful celebration of
Photography and The Day of the Dead!
Collecting Opportunity
- October Print of Month
The October Print of the Month is
Denver Nude #4.This is the 10th
photograph in the 2007 Print of the Month Portfolio. There are
twelve photographs in total, one for each month of the year. This
year all images are made from Kim's Mamiya RB 67 and then enlarged
to 5x7. These limited edition images are available throughout 2007
by joining our POM Club AND they may be purchased individually
until January 2008. After January 2008 they will only be available
by purchasing the complete 2007 POM Portfolio. This is a beautiful
selection of nudes, all recently photographed and printed by Kim.
Events - Freestyle and
The Getty Talk
We had a wonderful time down at the Freestyle Creative Center of
Photography Opening of the "Three Generation Show" Edward, Brett
and Kim. We met a lot of new people and saw lots of friends!
Thanks for coming down to the show!
The next evening Kim gave 2 informal Point of View talks at the
Getty Museum on his grandfather Edward Weston's show Endured
Vision. It is a wonderful exhibition and we recommend you all go

I updated our Guest Page so take a look and see who's been
visiting us and plan to come up and visit yourselves. When I
return from Oaxaca I will begin posting next years workshop
schedule.
Center for Photographic Art, 40 year
Celebration!
The Carmel Center for Photographic Art is celebrating their 40th
year anniversary. 20/20 Vision will consist of a photographic
exhibition, Gala dinner and auction and they are bringing our
friend Ian McCluskey out to show his movie The Eloquent Nude - The
Love and Legacy of Edward Weston and Charis Wilson. So mark you
calendars for November 2, the movie starts at 4 will
reception/exhibition to follow. The Gala Dinner/ Auction is on
November 3. Kim and I will be in Oaxaca and are very sorry to miss
this exciting time and celebration.
