Greetings and happy Valentine's Day!
The last few weeks on Wildcat Hill have been filled with windless, warm, sunny days which have us looking forward to spring and the start of the 2018 Weston Workshop season!
The Four Generations of Weston Photography Gallery is located at Edward Weston's former home in Carmel Highlands, California and exhibits photographs by Edward Weston, Brett Weston, Kim Weston, and Zach Weston. Visit our Artsy page to view a selection of works we have available for collection by each artist!
In the mid 1960s, when Carmel’s public school relocated to a new building, Cole Weston, in his 40's at the time, was approached for his interest in using the space where he and his brother had once attended grade school. Under Cole's management as its first director, the space became the site for one of the most significant organizations in contemporary photography.
This Saturday, October 28, 2017, the Center for Photographic Art will celebrate the Friends of Photography gallery's 50th anniversary!
This summer, Kim and I had the opportunity to attend the opening of a gorgeous exhibition, Weston 4 Generations: Classics of Modern American Photography at Kunsträume Grenzenlos in Bayerisch Eisenstein.
Gina and Kim Weston landed in Germany this morning, just in time for "Weston 4 Generations: Classics of Modern American Photography" and a Weston Destination Workshop!
