ViewBug Curator's Choice Award Recipient

At this point, Greg Edwards is a veteran of The Weston Workshop Series. He has taken many over the years and always offers an extremely creative eye and unique approach to making images. He uses storytelling and sometimes other worldly imagery to create captivating scenes. It is always a treat to get his perspective. as it is always entertaining and out of the box!

This image won the ViewBug Curator’s Choice award. ViewBug is a contesting web picture hosting site. I’ve won or been a finalist in over 100 contests and challenges, but this is the first time I’ve seen the “Curator’s Choice”. The purpose of the image was to make an interesting and different picture while working with Cat in a workshop at the Westons. I arranged Cat to have a dark background, had her pull some hair over her face and asked her to think of sad/angry events in her life. Post processing was mostly adding contrast and structure to make the picture more like a Film Noir movie shot.I’d like to note that

I have taken many excellent workshops with the Westons over the past decade or so.
