Growing up Weston: In the Presence of Women
Kim and Gina have been working hard preparing Kim’s new book for publication. This is no ordinary photography book. Along with Kim’s iconic images, it includes text about his life and family style behind the scene pictures of his life.
This book project is a passion project. It is something that Kim has wanted to do for many many years. One day he sat down at his desk, once his grandfathers Edward Weston’s desk, and started writing. He took a pencil and started to document his life. Waking up early to sit at such a special desk in such a special house was a memorable experience. He was able to pour out his thoughts from the many experiences he has had over his 65 years of life from sailing in Tahiti to photographing in Spain.
