Photography Workshop Skill Level Requirements

Photography Workshop Skill Level Requirements

You may be an experienced photographer or just a beginner starting out and have thought about attending a photography workshop to enhance your photographic skills, but the idea of attending a workshop with other photographers might be intimidating and has since stopped you from signing up. While photography workshops can be scary at first, once you realize it is all about having fun, the intimidation factor disappears. At Weston Photography, we welcome all skill levels. We encourage photographers who are just beginning to sign up, as a workshop can quickly enhance your photographic goal and overall vision.

What is a Photography Workshop?

Photography workshops are group led programs where photographers get together and photograph a subject over multiple days. Workshops can be tailored toward figure, landscape, nature and/or a variety of other subjects that are of interest. What is unique about photography workshops is that everyone is working together and photographing the same subject. Everyone builds off each other’s ideas and a fun, creative environment is created amongst the participants.

Why a Weston Photography Workshop?

Weston Destination Workshop | Boyer YL Ranch 2020

At Weston Photography Workshops, there is no skill level requirement to attend. We have and welcome all levels of photographers to come create with us and experience the magic of a group led photography workshop. We have seen advanced photographers who have been photographing for over 30 years with massive portfolios to beginners who have just recently bought a camera. What is special about our system is that we can have those two types of photographers attend the same workshop and both benefit tremendously over the couple days of photographing!

Taking a Weston Workshop was one of those bucket list items for me. To be able to learn from Kim Weston and his son Zach was an incredible experience, that I have repeated multiple times. Excellent locations, professional models, and a sharing atmosphere leads to a once in a lifetime journey. No matter the level of your photography you will come away from this workshop a better photographer. Inspiring.
