San Antonio Mission Immersion Workshop
Join us at The San Antonio Mission for a unique photographic experience. We will be staying on site with the ability to photograph the amazing mission grounds when the light is just right. This is a truly unique landscape workshop opportunity that you do not want to miss out on!
About the Workshop Experience
We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a landscape immersion workshop at The San Antonio Mission in Central California. This is a truly beautiful mission located in Monterey County on property that was once included in the famous Hearst Ranch. The mission sits within the “Valley of Oaks” on California’s Central Coast. Step back in time with this rare chance to not only freely photograph the amazing intricacies of the mission but be able to stay on site. Staying on site allows our group to capture the early morning and late evening light without being bothered by surrounding visitors. We have not rented out the whole facility, but given San Antonio’s location far from immunities, the daily visitor rate is very low.
On the day of arrival, Monday the 23rd, we will host a meet and greet where we will get familiar with each other and have a chance to see everyone’s work. Please be prepared to bring 3-5 printed images to show. Your images should be between 8x10 - 16x20 and mounted on nothing bigger than 22x28 mat board. We will have two operate reviews during our mission workshop. The first will take place on the 24th after we are done shooting for the day and before we break for dinner. The second will be during the middle of the day on the 25th after we have had the opportunity to capture the morning light!
The Schedule
Monday, 23rd: Arrive at the mission between 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Meet and Greet at 5:00pm
Tuesday, 24th: Photograph
Wednesday, 25th: Photograph
Thursday, 26th: Depart by 10:00am
What is Included?
Room and board for 3 nights
Breakfast (cereal, fruit, toast), Lunch (DIY sandwiches), Dinner (tacos, try-tip, etc)
Free range access to the beautiful grounds of the San Antonio Mission

Please be sure to pack snacks before coming out to the mission. The San Antonio Mission is about 45 minutes from any amenities. We will provide main meals but having snacks throughout the day and water is extremely important!
