Happy Birthday! Edward Weston, March 24, 1886

Happy Birthday Edward Weston! 1886-1958 Edward Weston meets Margrethe Mather 1913 As I started researching Edward Weston's life around the 1913's, I realized it was when he met and started working with Margrethe Mather. I went straight to our bookshelf and read "Margrethe Mather and Edward Weston, A Passionate Collaboration" by Beth Gates Warren. We saw the exhibition at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in 2003. It was an excellent show and I am so happy we took the time to go and see it. Margrethe was a photographer, mentor, lover and inspiration to Edward. Here are some photos by Edward Weston and Margrethe Mather from 1914 - 1920's. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Happy Birthday GP!

We are excited to announce the 2016 Print of the Month Portfolio! This year's selection will be from our 2014-2015 Spain Nude Photo Workshops. The first nude photography workshop was in Andalusia, Spain, 2014 and the 2nd nude workshop was held in Barcelona, Spain, 2015. It has been almost 4 weeks since we returned from Paris, France. We planned our trip there to coincide with The 2015 Paris Photo. We were there during the terrorist attacks that occurred on the evening of Friday the 13th. It was an eery night, as we were sitting at the Mini Palais finishing dinner, everyone including our friends, started getting texts and phone calls. We were told about the terrorist attacks and that the attack was over but we needed to leave the restaurant right away as we were in a high profile target area. The Mini Palais is located in the Grand Palais where Paris Photo was held. Here are some photographs from the Paris Photo show. I have many more of our trip but they will come later. We hope you enjoy them. Thank you to everyone who reached out to us while we were in Paris! We felt the love pouring out. :)

It's our turn to help the Center for Photographic Art! Monterey Gives: Help match the grant so the Center can continue its valuable contribution to the Photographic community! The 2016 PIE Tech Labs is a new educational program that will examine technology from an unconventional point of view. It will unpack and convey an array of immutable technologies, tools and techniques, that transcend the common, ever-changing technologies found in most photography programs today, empowering the artist to drive technology, not the reverse.

We hope you enjoy the last and final print for the "2016 Print of the Month Portfolio". We thought this was a perfect photograph to finish off this series from Paris, France. We have enjoyed selecting the images and being able to share them will all of you. It's the same deal, $300 for the month of December then back to the current price of $800. We are going back to Paris in a few days! It's so exciting, we can't wait to see all of our friends, relax, photograph and go to Paris Photo again.The November Print of the Month "Nude in Arles" was taken in the beautifully remodeled Hotel Jules César in Arles France. For the collectors that have just joined our mailing list, we want to thank you! Kim Weston offers a unique way to collect his work. Each month we offer a discounted price of $300, after the month is over the price goes back to $800. The price goes up after 10 photographs are sold. October was a very busy month, with a Desert Nude Workshop with Mark Comon and a sold out Nude Photography Workshop here at Wildcat Hill and several One on One Workshops. It was pretty late in the year for our workshop at home and we were a little worried about the light, but it turned out to be perfect weather and we had a great time. Thanks to everyone that joined us and a special thanks to our wonderful models! Next year's 2016 Nude Photography Workshop schedule will be up very soon.
